Re: 2008 328 Basic [bribor]
Bribor, that sounds OK...from what I have been reading, the best most people have been able to negotiate is about $500 over invoice (roughly $2000 under MSRP when you factor in advertising fees, training costs, etc.). BMW is subsidizing the cost of the automatic transmission to dealers on 08 3 series, so you should not consider that as part of the cost of the vehicle ... Read More...
Lease - Signed on Dec 31
Here is how my deal came out so far, I think I made out pretty good - thoughts? Please note, that I will be doing a European Delivery (ED) of the car, which results in the substantial savings. MSRP calculated by dealer was with 2009 pricing (price increase of 300), saving me a few bucks/month of my payment so I added another option!) US MSRP: Base BMW 2009 328i Xdrive: ... Read More...

Re: '09 BMW 328i sedan quote [blueguydotcom]
hmmm my dealer told me that the auto trans incentive for the 3 series isn't happening anymore for 2009 models.. Also, I actually want the 2009 instead of 2008 because the model changed (kinda). With that said.. i still don't know if it's an okay price... :( but thx for the info blueguy! Read More...

Re: 335xi fuel pump failure
This is a wonderful time to convey my Holiday wishes to all of the selfless people who comprise Edmunds.com and create the most informative and helpful auto enthusiast community I've encountered. For the record: I was able to pick up my 2008 335xi today, barely 24 hours after limping into Beverly Hills BMW, with a new high-pressure fuel pump. Thanks to Shipo and ... Read More...
Re: re 335 xi 8800 miles fuel pump problem [xeye]
I have a 2008 335xi with 6500 miles, 10 months into 3yr lease. Today, the idle became rough, the engine malfunctioned, diagnostic warning message appeared requiring me to proceed with caution to the nearest dealer. I barely made it a mile after the warning light appeared. It appears to be a fuel pump failure. The mechanic at Beverly Hills BMW seemed to know upon ... Read More...
Re: [sammybmw]
Hmmm, I didn't know the free auto transmission was a BMW promotion - way to go. Given your preferences, I agree you did well choosing the 2008 model. Congrats on your new car. Read More...
Re: [fedlawman]
The free auto tranny is a BMW NA offering only on the 2008's. It's on their website "* Be sure to ask your BMW center about adding an automatic transmission at no cost." Check it out link title. Unfortunately, some folks missed it or are missing it. So the final cost was actually below invoice. The difference between the 2008 335I and 2009 for the same equipment was ... Read More...
Re: [sammybmw]
All manufacturers increase the price of options/packages along with base prices, so again, BMW is no different than any of the others. Yes, for Logic 7 fans, it's a bummer that BMW made it optional for 2009. Other than that though, everything else is standard industry practice. As for the "free automatic," I'm guessing that was a dealer move to get rid of a car that's ... Read More...
